8ledger.App ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore.

1. Data We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, including name, email address, company name, and UEN. Financial data such as invoices, expenses, and bank transaction data is stored to provide our services.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to provide accounting services, generate compliance filings (GST, IRAS, ACRA), process InvoiceNow transmissions, and improve our platform. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on secure servers within Singapore. We employ AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, and regular security audits to protect your information.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We share data only when required: with IRAS for tax filings, with the Peppol network for InvoiceNow transmissions, and with your authorised accountant if you grant access. We use Stripe for payment processing.

5. Your Rights

Under the PDPA, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us at privacy@8ledger.app to exercise your rights.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies are used with your consent to improve the user experience.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using 8ledger.App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Service Description

8ledger provides cloud-based accounting software designed for Singapore businesses, including invoicing, GST filing, financial reporting, and compliance tools.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Freemium & Pro Plans

The Freemium plan is free with usage limits (38 invoices/month). The Pro plan ($8/month or $76.80/year) provides unlimited access. Prices are in SGD and subject to GST where applicable.

5. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of your data. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your financial records. You may export your data at any time.

6. Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance.

7. Limitation of Liability

8ledger is not a licensed accounting firm. Our software assists with compliance but does not constitute professional accounting advice. Consult a qualified accountant for specific tax matters.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

At 8ledger, security is not an afterthought — it's foundational to everything we build. Your financial data deserves the highest level of protection.

🔒 Encryption

All data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Database backups are encrypted and stored in geographically redundant locations within Singapore.

🏗️ Infrastructure

Our infrastructure is hosted on enterprise-grade cloud providers with SOC 2 Type II certification. All servers are located in Singapore to comply with data residency requirements.

🔑 Access Control

We enforce role-based access control (RBAC) throughout the platform. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available for all accounts and required for accountant access.

🔍 Monitoring & Auditing

Real-time threat monitoring, automated vulnerability scanning, and comprehensive audit logs ensure any suspicious activity is detected and addressed immediately.

📋 Compliance

We comply with PDPA (Singapore), and our security practices align with ISO 27001 standards. Regular third-party penetration testing is conducted quarterly.

🚨 Incident Response

We maintain a documented incident response plan. In the unlikely event of a security incident, affected users will be notified within 72 hours as required by PDPA.
